In this segment, I will share my top plays of the night; two guards, two forwards, two centers, and two value plays. I will also post the Vegas lines which will help decide which games to target, and which could turn in to a possible blow out.
(All Vegas lines are taken off Bodog betting)
(Teams in Italics are on the back end of back-to-back games)
MIL at BOS (-4) – O/U- 201
IND at CLE (-7) – O/U- 213
UTA at OKC (-4.5) – O/U -205
MIN at HOU (-11.5) – O/U – 216
Welcome to the 2018 NBA Playoffs! There will still be plenty of slates in which you ca take advantage of, including tonight!
Top Guards: Donovan Mitchell and Jaylen Brown
This slate does not offer as much as far as value goes, so I see myself going with a more balanced lineup which may mean avoiding players like Russell Westbrook and Karl-Anthony Towns. Donovan Mitchell seems like a great play tonight in a matchup with the Thunder. He has been playing well down the stretch and also saw his rival Ben Simmons dominate in his first playoff game last night. Expect a good return from Mitchell. The Celtics team looks like a mess heading into the playoffs. Their starting lineup will include Rozier, Jaylen Brown, Tatum, Horford, and Baynes. I really like to target this matchup as the Celtics players seem underpriced for a game in which they are favored. Brown has shown mid-30 point games lately and I expect more of the same tonight at a good price point.
Top Forwards: Thad Young and Jeff Green
I believe that the Pacers and Cavaliers game should offer plenty of fireworks. Prior to the final two games of the season, Thad Young had been on a tear. He should play around 35 minutes and will have plenty of opportunities in a high scoring match. Jeff Green has stepped up to play some big minutes for the Cavaliers down the stretch. Green has produced a 45 DK point night three games ago, and while I don’t see him scoring that many tonight, around 30 DK points would be a solid return on investment.
Top Centers: Al Horford and Clint Capela
Al Horford seems to be in a smash spot with the Bucks. The Bucks struggle to rebound and are in the bottom third in both offensive and defensive rebounding categories. Horford has crushed this matchup this season averaging 40.3 DK points over his four games against the Bucks. I have loved watching Clint Capela this season and will love when he smashes Karl-Anthony Towns and his inability to defend. This should be a fun series if the Timberwolves can manage to even keep it close. The player I am looking at picking out from this game is Capela who has averaged over 38 DK points in the four games against the Timberwolves this season.
Top Values: Aron Baynes and Tyler Zeller
Baynes is starting for the Celtics tonight and is a great place to start when searching for value on this slate. He has played consistent minutes down the stretch and should see around 20 minutes in a good matchup with the Bucks. Zeller is a true punt play at the minimum price. He has shown nice mid 20 point upside this season and could get extended run if John Henson fails to impress early on.
