April 14, 2018 | phil_beneteau89
In this segment, I will share my top plays of the night; two guards, two forwards, two centers, and two value plays. I will also post the Vegas lines which will help decide which games to target, and which could turn in to a possible blow out.
(All Vegas lines are taken off Bodog betting)
(Teams in Italics are on the back end of back-to-back games)
SAS at GSW (-8) – O/U – 207
WAS at TOR (-8) – O/U – 212
MIA at PHI (-6.5) – O/U – 215
NOP at POR (-5.5) – O/U – 218
Welcome to the 2018NBA Playoffs! There will still be plenty of slates in which you ca take advantage of, including tonight!
Top Guards: Damian Lillard and DeMar DeRozan
Damian Lillard will bring his A game tonight in a dream matchup with the Pelicans. He has been a fantasy monster over the second half of the season and I am expecting big things from this first round matchup. We can expect shorter rotations in the playoffs, so unless the Pelicans are geting blown out, Lillard should be playing around 40 minutes at least. DeMar DeRozan has crushed this matchup with the Wizards all season as he has averaged almost 44 DK points over those four games. I expect him to show up in a big way at home in the first game of the playoffs.
Top Forwards: Nikola Mirotic and Kevin Durant
Nikola Mirotic has been on a roll recently scoring over 35 DK points in six of his last seven games and averaging 41.8 DK points over that span. He is a good mid-priced play tonight. It is hard to believe that Kevin Durant won’t show up for the Warriors until Curry is back. While I would feel comfortable paying down for LaMarcus Aldridge, Durant’s ceiling is just simply higher. I am expecting Durant to have a 60+ performance tonight in what should be a good competitive series.
Top Centers: Jusuf Nurkic and Jonas Valanciunas
Once again, I am not totally in love with any of the centers on this slate, so playing a person who has duel-eligibility at the spot, or simply punting this position is very much a possibility. Nurkic has a nice price point on DraftKings tonight where he is simply too cheap at $6.6K. Valanciunas has many factors that will influence his play which makes him a GPP only play. He has the ceiling to post a 10x game in these playoffs if he can go wild on the boards. His playing time is the only concern.
Top Values: Ian Clark, Patty Mills and Zaza Pachulia
Clark has seen consistent minutes all season and should be a part of the rotation in this playoffs for the Pelicans. Mills could be trusted to play big minutes for the Spurs in the playoffs. Pay attention to the rotation of the players in this game as it will probably stay fairly true for the whole series. Zaza Pachulia is simply a punt play that sticks out tonight. He is essentially at the minimum and has been over a point per minute producer. He could be relied upon in the early going for the Warriors who are currently not playing at their peak with Curry out.
