Top Guards: Goran Dragic and Lou Williams
This is a massive slate with very high priced players. Tonight, I really love the spot that Dragic and Williams are in. Dragic has a great positional matchup against the Pelicans today and Williams will face the Suns tonight. Even though Williams is on the back end of back-to-back games, look for him to carry over his success last night against a fast-paced Suns team. Both will see a bump in pace and will receive a very nice positional rating boost. They are both also much cheaper than the Harden’s and Oladipo’s of the world. I believe that both have 45-50 point upside tonight.
Top Forwards: Dwight Powell and Anthony Davis
I am having a tough time with the Forward spot today for roster construction. No one truly stands out as a must-play just yet, but with injury news that could all change. Dwight Powell is still under $6K on DraftKings and will face a Lakers team tonight. He has scored over 31 DK points in five of his last six games and should crush value once again tonight in a fast-paced game. Davis has simply been amazing lately. We saw him light up the Lakers prior to the All-Star break, and while tonight is a pace down match, he should still be heavily involved. Without many options that stand out for me at SF/PF tonight, Davis makes a great pay up play!
Top Centers: Andre Drummond and Jonas Valanciunas
The center spot is loaded with quality plays and talent tonight which will make roster construction interesting across the board tonight. Drummond and Valanciunas both stand out to me as top plays in their price range. Drummond has a good matchup with the Celtics tonight and has recorded just over 48 DK points averaged in his two games against the Celtics this season. Valanciunas will face a Bucks team that is vulnerable up front. Even with John Henson back tonight, Valanciunas should feast in this matchup. He produced 26.5 DK points in just 16.5 minutes in their first matchup, and Valanciunas is projected to see closer to 25 minutes tonight. The Pacers and Hawks matchup also feature two of the best center matchups on the board. Stacking a couple big men in this game could prove very contrarian and very rewarding.
Top Values: Andrew Harrison and Alex Len
Both of these players jump out on multiple projections. Harrison has played over 33 minutes in two of his last three games and produced over 38 DK points in both of those games. Tonight, Harrison figures to see around that same 30 minutes of playing time and will have a great matchup against the Cavaliers who are playing their second game in as many nights. Len should see plenty of run with Tyson Chandler looking doubtful tonight. He has a good matchup against the Clippers tonight and should be able to crush his value tonight. He feasted last game against the Jazz, which is a much tougher opponent than DeAndre Jordan.
