Elite Eight – NBA DFS February 12th February 12, 2018  |  phil_beneteau89

In this segment, I will share my top four plays of the night; one center, one guard, one forward, one wildcard play. I will also share my top four value plays of the night; one center, one guard, one forward, and one wildcard play. I will also have the Vegas posted lines which will help you make sharper calls when looking at a high over/under as well as the spreads to gauge which games could end up in a blowout.

Vegas Lines

(All Vegas lines are taken off Bodog betting)

(Teams in RED are on the back end of a back-to-back)

NOP at DET (-2.5) – O/U – 221

NYK at PHI (-11.5) – O/U – 211

LAC (-4.5) at BKN – O/U – 222.5

ORL at CHI (-4.5) – O/U – 215

SAS at UTH (-4.5) – O/U – 197

PHO at GSW (–16) – O/U – 231

Injruies to note for tonight: LaMarcus Aldridge, Draymond Green, Devin Booker, and Kris Dunn have all been ruled OUT already. The Clippers centers and Bulls guards have the best positional ratings tonight. The Pistons will see the largest boost in pace tonight as they host the Pelicans. The Pistons are running the 5th fastest offense with the addition of Blake Griffin so there is that to take in to account as well.

Top Plays:

Guard: Spencer Dinwiddie (BKN) – DraftKings: $6,400; FanDuel: $7,500

Dinwiddie is projecting through the roof on DraftKings tonight as his price is $1K cheaper than on FanDuel, and he has been on fire recently. He has produced at least 30 DK points in five straight, while going over 40 DK points in two of those games. He has a favorable matchup with the Clippers tonight in which I am expecting another solid box score.

Forward: Kevin Durant and Michael Beasley

Both could be considered chalky options tonight as Beasley should see the same sort of production that he has since the injury to Kristaps Porzingis. Durant could be chalky as well tonight with Draymond Green out tonight. While Durant has not been extremely productive lately, tonight, a matchup with the Suns may be just what he needs to break out of his mini-slump. Both are great plays, it all just depends how much money you have to spend in your roster construction.

Center: Andre Drummond (DET) – DraftKings: $10,100; FanDuel: $10,800

Since Blake Griffin has arrived, Drummond has been one of the most consistent plays at center. While Griffin has been an absolute beast and has jelled very nicely with his new team, I would much rather play Drummond as I believe his floor is 45 DK points, while Griffin has been great, I see him as more of a 50-55 DK point upside. Drummond has 70+ upside, with nightly 20/20 production.

Stack/Wildcard: Check back later for my top stack/wildcard!

Value Plays:

Guard: Jerian Grant (CHI) – DraftKings: $5,200; FanDuel: $6,500

Jerian Grant and the Bulls guards are once again in a great spot tonight against the Magic tonight. Zach LaVine is back in the lineup after missing the last game due to rest on the back end of back-to-back games. Grant has been an absolute stud lately, and his price is far too cheap on DraftKings. The matchup is grat and playing both is definitely a good start to line up builds.

Forward: San Antonio Spurs Forwards

This is a tough spot for me tonight, because as much as I love the options that the Spurs can roll out tonight with LaMarcus Aldridge out tonight, this total scares me. Davis Bertans has seen a nice boost with Aldridge out, and Kyle Anderson had a great game last time out. If you are looking away from this slower paced game, the Warriors reserves should see extra run tonight with Draymond Green out tonight. Kevin Looney projects well, but I would also consider Omri Casspi who is also almost minimum across the industry.

Center: Pau Gasol (SAS)

To continue the Spurs talk, Gasol should see the start tonight, and is worth the price tag tonight, especially on DraftKings where you can play him at various spots. He has showed a great ceiling this season, scoring over 50 DK points against Portland earlier this season, and has scored over 40 DK points eight other times this season.

Wildcard: Orlando Magic Guards

Both D.J. Augustine and Shelvin Mack have showed nice upside in their first two games of controlling the point guard spot. Both are still relatively cheap and both have a great matchup with the Bulls tonight. I will be going heavy on guards tonight, and this game should provide plenty of value. I still like Augustine since I believe he will be starting once again.
