*Check back ONE HOUR before lock for injury and optimal lineup updates*
Ricky Rubio (UTA): Rubio sat out of the game last night, and he is currently questionable tonight, so keep an eye on his status. With that being said, he has scored 40+ DK points in each of his last five healthy games. Over that span, he is averaging 45.9 DK points per game. He gets somewhat of a tough matchup against the San Antonio Spurs, but he is averaging over 40 DK points per game against San Antonio this season. Rubio can be used in all leagues if he is announced as the starter.
Rajon Rondo (NO): Rondo’s minutes have been a bit inconsistent, but it is impossible to ignore his upside. He has played 30+ minutes in three of his last five games, scoring 60.5, 36.25, and 42.25 DK points in those games. He is currently expected to play 30 minutes tonight, suggesting he has the potential to easily exceed value. Keep in mind, Rondo’s minutes have been somewhat unpredictable recently, so he does come with quite a bit of risk.
Additional Notes: Spencer Dinwiddie has been on fire recently, and he is another option that can be considered on all sites, as he is a bit too cheap still. Dejounte Murray’s injury status makes him a bit unclear for tonight, but if he is announced as the starter, he will make a good option. Ish Smith is an option that can be considered in FanDuel, but he is better avoided on DraftKings tonight.
Donovan Mitchell (UTA): Mitchell is beginning to heat up for the Jazz, as he is averaging 26.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game over his last two games. More importantly, he is averaging 22.5 shot attempts and 6.0 free throw attempts over that span. He is the clear focal point of the offense, and he will be playing point guard again tonight if Ricky Rubio is out. Regardless of Rubio’s status, Mitchell can be used in all leagues.
Zach LaVine (CHI): Simply put, do not avoid LaVine tonight. He has played 30+ minutes in three games this season, scoring 46.75, 36.75, and 41.75 DK points. He is the clear leader of the Bulls offense, and while his usage could drop a bit if Kris Dunn returns to the lineup, LaVine should still see upwards of 20 shots tonight. He gets a great matchup against a fast paced Orlando team, and LaVine makes an elite option in all leagues.
Additional Notes: The two above are far and away my favorite options, but Devin Booker also makes a lot of sense if he is active. Klay Thompson can also be considered, as he could see a small uptick in usage with Draymond Green doubtful tonight. Tim Hardaway Jr. is another option that can be considered on FanDuel, as he is a bit too cheap for his current upside.
Michael Beasley (NY): Beasley has taken over the offense for the Knicks without Kristaps Porzingis in the lineup. In his last two games, Beasley has scored 38.25 and 38.75 DK points in 29 and 31 minutes. He will be locked into big minutes again tonight, and he gets a good matchup against a fast paced Sixers team. Beasley has always been able to score fantasy points in a hurry, but his limited minutes have been holding him back. Now that he is getting bigger minutes, he can be used in all leagues.
Joe Ingles (UTA): Ingles has caught fire recently, and he will be locked into big minutes with Rodney Hood now in Cleveland. He has scored 42.25, 38.75, and 36.25 DK points in three of his last four games, but his price tag does not represent that. He gets a tough matchup against the San Antonio Spurs, but their defense has been far from the elite defense that they are known for. Ingles can be used in all leagues with his new role.
Additional Notes: Small forward is not very deep tonight, but Mario Hezonja will make a great option once again once Aaron Gordon is officially ruled out. Allen Crabbe also makes a high upside option with Brooklyn dealing with multiple injuries, while Danilo Gallinari can be considered on FanDuel, where he can be had at a discount.
Nikola Mirotic (NO): Mirotic has been the definition of a boom or bust option with his new team. It does not come as a surprise that he has been inconsistent, as generally players need a bit of time to gel with their new team when they are traded. Still, Mirotic has scored 58.5 and 48 DK points in two of his four games. He gets a good matchup against the Detroit Pistons, who he scored 30 DK points against in only 21.4 minutes earlier this season. He will be locked into 30+ minutes tonight, making him a great option.
Quincy Acy (BKN): Acy returned to action on Saturday, scoring 21.75 DK points in 40 minutes. He will be locked into big minutes again tonight, as Rondae Hollis-Jefferson has already been ruled out. Acy is not a great per minute player, but he is extremely cheap and guaranteed playing time. That is a rare combination, and he has also scored 18+ DK points in six consecutive games. He may not be a sexy pick, but he is the right one.
Additional Notes: Davis Bertans is a player that is going to see extended minutes with LaMarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard out, and he can be considered in all leagues for a low price tag. Dario Saric can also be used, as he comes with quite a bit of upside. Ben Simmons is another power forward that can be considered on FanDuel tonight.
Andre Drummond (DET): Drummond has been one of the best centers in the NBA recently, as he is averaging 18.0 points, 18.5 rebounds, 2.5 assists, 2.7 blocks, and 2.2 steals in 34.4 minutes per game over the last 10 days. He has scored 53+ DK points in six of his last 10 games, including two games with 71 and 83 DK points. He gets a good matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans, who currently rank 22nd in the NBA against centers. Drummond can be used in all leagues.
Pau Gasol (SA): Gasol was given a bit of a rest in the Spurs last game because it was a quick blowout. In his last five games with 20+ minutes, he is averaging 28.9 DK points per game. San Antonio will be without LaMarcus Aldridge and Kawhi Leonard, leaving quite a bit of the offense to fall on Gasol when he is on the court. He will likely only play minutes in the low-20s, but that is all he has needed to hit value recently. He is a solid salary relief option at this point.
Additional Notes: The center position is loaded most nights, and tonight is no different. Aside from the two above, Rudy Gobert is also a bit too cheap across the industry. Enes Kanter can also be considered, as he comes with tremendous upside for his current price tag. Anthony Davis and Joel Embiid are two higher priced options that can be used tonight, as well.
