Elite Eight – NBA DFS December 6th
December 6, 2017 | phil_beneteau89
In this segment, I will share my top four plays of the night; one center, one guard, one forward, one wildcard play. I will also share my top four value plays of the night; one center, one guard, one forward, and one wildcard play. I will also have the Vegas posted lines which will help you make sharper calls when looking at a high over/under as well as the spreads to gauge which games could end up in a blowout.
(All Vegas lines are taken off Bodog betting)
(Teams in RED are on the back end of a back-to-back)
Sacramento Kings at Cleveland Cavaliers – CLE are favored by 12.5 / Over/Under: 209.5
Chicago Bulls at Indiana Pacers – IND are favored by 9.5 / Over/Under: 208.5
Atlanta Hawks at Orlando Magic – ORL are favored by 6.5 / Over/Under: 217
Dallas Mavericks at Boston Celtics – BOS are favored by 9 / Over/Under: 201.5
Memphis Grizzlies at New York Knicks – NYK are favored by 2.5 / Over/Under: 197
Golden State Warriors at Charlotte Hornets – GSW are favored by 5.5 / Over/Under: 216.5
Detroit Pistons at Milwaukee Bucks – MIL are favored by 4.5 / Over/Under: 205.5
Denver Nuggets at New Orleans Pelicans – NOP are favored by 5 / Over/Under: 221
Miami Heat at San Antonio Spurs – SAS are favored by 7.5 / Over/Under: 196
Minnesota Timberwolves at Los Angeles Clippers – MIN are favored by 5.5 / Over/Under: 213
The big injury news today is that Warriors star Stephen Curry will be out indefinitely with an ankle injury. The Warriors have yet to announce their starting lineup, and have also listed Draymond Green as questionable tonight. Check back later to see who is playing, some value will definitely be in the Warriors starting 5 tonight. The Pistons bigs and Hawks guards see the best positional rating tonight, while the Mavericks will receive the largest pace boost tonight against the Celtics.
Guard: Jimmy Butler (SG/SF) – MIN – DraftKings: $7,600; FanDuel: $8,900
Jimmy Butler is a must-play in every contest on DraftKings, where I see him more of a GPP play on FanDuel because of his price tag. Butler is starting to gel with the Timberwolves, and has scored over 40 DK points in five of his last six games. Butler has great value baked in to his DK price, with a ceiling in the mid 50s. I am expecting a nice performance against the Clippers who are not a shut down team this season and will be without big man Blake Griffin.
Forward: Zach Randolph (PF/C) – SAC – DraftKings: $5,300; FanDuel: $5,900
Coming off a couple days rest and the absence of Willie Cauley-Stein, I am expecting big things from this big man. Randolph has a nice combination of positional match up and pace up spot. Randolph should also see a few extra minutes with Cauley-Stein out. He has a 48 point ceiling, and I could see him hitting the 40 point mark tonight.
Center: Andre Drummond (C) – DET – DraftKings: $9,100; FanDuel: $9,500
Many people will turn to DeMarcus Cousins here again with Anthony Davis out, but I believe Drummond offers a nice upside for his price and has the best positional match up of the night against the Bucks big men. We have seen him go for 70 before this season, and while I do not quite see him getting to 70, a low 60s output is well within reach if his assists continue to rack up.
Wildcard: Rajon Rondo (PG) – NOP – DraftKings: $5,500; FanDuel: $6,000
If you are going back to DeMarcus Cousins tonight, you already know that Rajon Rondo has been on fire lately. He has scored at least 38 DK points in each of his last three games and continues to fit in well with the Pelicans team. Rondo is an absolute steal at sub-$6K in a good match up with the Nuggets.
Guard: Garrett Temple (PG/SG) – SAC – DraftKings: $4,000; FanDuel: $4,500
Tonight the Kings have tough task of taking on the Cavaliers who are on a tear. Temple has strung together a nice run of four games where has recorded at least 20 DK points, and has played under 29 minutes just once over his past six games. He is locked and loaded in a great match up and pace up spot!
Forward: Kenneth Faried (PF/C) – DEN – DraftKings: $5,000; FanDuel: $5,600
Faried has slid in to big minutes for the Nuggets with their two big men, Millsap and Jokic, getting injured. He is thriving with this time on the court and still comes in at a great value across the board today. Faried has been a point per minute player lately, and tonight he should play around 27 minutes.
Center: Miles Plumlee (C) – ATL – DraftKings: $3,600; FanDuel: $3,600
If you are looking at a GPP punt for the center position, Miles Plumless is your guy. Do not get him confused with his brother, who has been a nice value from the Nuggets, Plumlee should see as much as he can handle with John Collins, Dewayne Dedmon, and Mike Muscala out for the Hawks. Plumlee has yet to really reach his potential in his first two games starting, but I think he breaks out tonight against the Magic.
Wildcard: Aron Baynes (C) – BOS – DraftKings:
With Marcus Morris out tonight, Baynes and Theis should see plenty of more work in a good match up against the Mavericks. Both make great plays, but I would stick to Baynes for cash games and Theis for GPPs if you are feeling risky. Baynes will play more minutes, but Theis has proved that he is productive with his time on the court. Baynes is the better play, and more consistent play, but Theis will be very low owned, even with his extra minutes.
