Elite Eight – DFS NBA November 13th November 13, 2017  |  phil_beneteau89

In this segment, I will share my top four plays of the night; one center, one guard, one forward, one wildcard play. I will also share my top four value plays of the night; one center, one guard, one forward, and one wildcard play. I will also have the Vegas posted lines which will help you make sharper calls when looking at a high over/under as well as the spreads to gauge which games could end up in a blowout.

Vegas Lines

(Teams in RED are on the back end of a back-to-back)

Sacramento Kings at Washington Wizards – WAS is favored by 10.5 / Over/Under: 209.5

Cleveland Cavaliers at New York Knicks – CLE is favored by 5 / Over/Under: 219

Memphis Grizzlies at Milwaukee Bucks – MIL is favored by 3.5 / Over/Under: 202

Atlanta Hawks at New Orleans Pelicans – NOP is favored by 9 / Over/Under: 217

Los Angeles Lakers at Phoenix Suns – PHX is favored by 1.5 / Over/Under: 227

Denver Nuggets at Portland Trails Blazers – POR is favored by 1 / Over/Under: 211

Orlando Magic at Golden State Warriors – GSW is favored by 13 / Over/Under: 229

Philadelphia 76ers at Los Angeles Clippers – LAC is favored by 2 / Over/Under: 218

Top Plays:

Guard – Lonzo Ball (PG) – LAL – DraftKings: $7,300; FanDuel: $7,600

Lonzo Ball may have a bad reputation off the court, but on the court, he is showing that he is a true NBA talent. He has had his ups and downs, but every rookie does. Ball is coming off a 71.5 DK point night against the Milwaukee Bucks and gets an even better matchup tonight as the Lakers go to Phoenix to face the Suns. Ball put up a stat-filled 59.75 DK point game in his first contest against the Suns, and I expect this game to be of the similar fashion. Ball is a high upside play at just the mid $7K price point.

Forward – Paul Millsap (PF/C) – DEN – DraftKings: $7,000; $7,300

Paul Millsap has three games over 43 DK points in his last five games. Millsap will face the Portland Trail Blazers who are struggling to guard power forwards this season. I am expecting Jusuf Nurkic to cover Nikola Jokic, which will open up Millsap for a big night on the glass and to fill the stat sheet like he has done this season. Millsap has triple-double upside in this matchup against the Trail Blazers

Center – Kevin Love (PF/C) – CLE – DraftKings: $7,500; FanDuel: $7,500

Kevin Love is showing that he can be the perfect sidekick for LeBron James. Flashing his 60+ point upside, Love’s price tag leaves plenty of variance for a player with a more difficult matchup tonight. Some hobby players may be off Love since he has the toughest position ranking on DraftKings, but his overall game is tough to fade with Derrick Rose out once again. Love and James are taking this team over.

Wildcard – T.J. Warren (SF/PF) – DraftKings: $6,200; FanDuel: $7,100

I will keep writing him up as one of my favorite plays every night until his price goes up. The reason his price is not going up is due to the lack of consistency in his box scores. Warren has shown a 9.57 DK point floor, but a 61.5 DK point ceiling over his last seven games. He will get a juicy matchup against another up-tempo team, the Los Angeles Lakers. Warren managed a solid 43 DK point performance in their last meeting, and there is no reason why he should not replicate those same results. He is a GPP only play, and one I like a lot more on DraftKings tonight because most of his points come from his scoring prowess.

Daily Fantasy NBA Cheat Sheet: Monday, November 13th

Top Values:

Guard – Lou Williams (PG/SG) – LAC – DraftKings: $5,600; FanDuel: $5,500

It is tough to fade Lou Williams when you see what he did two games ago against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Williams will be another top value play with Patrick Beverley and Danilo Gallinari once again out tonight. He will face a 76ers team that allowed the Golden State guards to rack up points against them on Saturday. No, Williams is not as good as any of those guards, but this game should remain much closer and could see Williams go for another 40+ DK point night.

Forward – Derrick Favors (PF/C) – UTA – DraftKings: $4,600; FanDuel: $5,400

Speaking of taking advantage of injuries. Derrick Favors got the start last game for the injured Rudy Gobert and exploded for 46 DK points in 36 minutes on the floor. With reports that Gobert will be out for 4 to 6 weeks, Favors price will only continue to rise in the DFS world. Get him while his price is still extremely cheap. He will be highly owned tonight but is a must-play in all cash games.

Center – Kosta Koufos (C) – SAC – DraftKings: $3,400; FanDuel: $3,700

It is always hard to write up a strong value C in this because I take into account that FanDuel limits you to playing only one center. On a large slate, I prefer to pay up for the quality studs and to look for value at other positions. With that said, Kosta Koufos is a great punt play if you are in need on either site. He is seeing some more run lately and has eight times value in his price if he is on. I believe that Koufos has his first double-double of the season against the Wizards tonight.

Wildcard – Courtney Lee (SG/SF) – DraftKings: $4,100; FanDuel: $4,700

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been a nice place to attack so far this year, and Courtney Lee will be in prime position to take his shot tonight. Lee has over 20 DK points in each of his last five games, and nine of last 10 games. He has mid 30 DK point upside, and in a game that has a 219 over and just a five-point spread, look for Lee to crush value once again tonight.

Quis’ Bracket Breakdown

South Region Final Four pick: Virginia Cavaliers I typically run for the hills when talking about taking Virginia in the March timeframe. While their defensive efficiency is amazing, the “grind-it-out” style they play does not set up well for March. You are going to run into a hot-shooting team and need ...
