Jason’s Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks
James Harden – James Harden is a great option tonight at the guard position. He has great upside, and Harden will be looking to outmatch LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers, as he is currently looking for that MVP vote. His price tag is very high, but using him in tournaments will provide a contrarian fantasy option to James, who will be owned at a very high clip.
Justin’s Rapid Reaction: Harden is best suited for tournaments tonight.
Courtney Lee – Courtney Lee gets a great matchup tonight against the Brooklyn Nets, one of the worst teams in the league against opposing shooting guards. Lee is playing big minutes for the New York Knicks, and he does have over 25 fantasy points in three of his last four games. Against the Philadelphia 76ers, he posted over 30 fantasy points, so the upside is there, as well. On a short, five-game slate, roster Lee in all leagues.
Justin’s Rapid Reaction: Lee makes a solid option tonight.

LeBron James – LeBron James should be the first fantasy player inserted in all cash game lineups tonight. He gets a fantastic matchup against the Houston Rockets, one of the worst defensive teams in the league due to their uptempo pace, and James will be looking to outperform James Harden, as both are competing for the MVP trophy. James has consistently been posting over 65 fantasy points.
Justin’s Rapid Reaction: James is the best option on the slate.
Larry Nance Jr – The Los Angeles Lakers have a couple of valuable big men on their roster, as far as fantasy is concerned. The Philadelphia 76ers are horrible defensively against opposing big men, so this works out perfectly in tournaments tonight. Larry Nance Jr is playing decent minutes of recent, and he posted over 25 fantasy points in his last game. His price tag is down right now, and that will allow for LeBron James and James Harden to fit into lineups.
Justin’s Rapid Reaction: Nance is a high upside option.
Alan Williams – Alan Williams has not been seeing consistent minutes over his last few games, but he is still producing. Wit’s under 25 minutes on the court in two consecutive games, Williams still posted 29 and 36 fantasy points. The Portland Trailblazers are going to push the pace of this game, and Williams will respond with rebounds and points. He is the best center option available for tournaments.
Justin’s Rapid Reaction: Williams has been great recently, and makes a good option tonight.
Ivica Zubac – As previously mentioned, the Los Angeles Lakers have a couple of solid big men for tournaments tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers. As long as Zubac continues to see around 20 minutes on the court, he should continue to score around 20 fantasy points, which is above value at his price tag. His low price tag will make rostering LeBron James and James Harden much easier, just as Larry Nance Jr will.
Justin’s Rapid Reaction: Zubac can be used in GPPs tonight.
Justin’s Daily Fantasy Basketball Picks
Damian Lillard – Lillard has been an elite option since the All Star break, as he has displayed both consistency and upside. He’s averaging 26.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game over the last 10 days, as well. He gets an elite matchup against the Suns, who will be looking to push the pace tonight. Lillard will see plenty of opportunities to score fantasy points tonight, and he can be used in all leagues.
Jason’s Rapid Reaction: It is hard to say no to Damian Lillard on a short slate.
Jeremy Lin – Lin has struggled with injuries this season, but he has looked outstanding when given the minutes. He’s a player that can score fantasy points in a hurry, and he has scored at least 25 fantasy points in each of his last four games, including three games with at least 30 fantasy points. He still comes with a cheap price tag, and Lin can be used in all leagues as a salary relief option.
Jason’s Rapid Reaction: Jeremy Lin is starting to play better of recent.
Dario Saric – Saric continues to be a huge part of the Sixers offense, although he does come with a bit of risk. He has displayed elite upside recently, and he gets a great matchup against a fast paced Lakers team, who have struggled against the power forward this season. Saric has the ability to contribute in multiple categories, and he makes an elite tournament option on the smaller slate tonight.
Jason’s Rapid Reaction: Dario Saric is always a great option in all leagues.
Caris LeVert – LeVert has had a ton of ups and downs this season, which has been the case recently, as well. Over his last 10 games, he has scored as high as 30.25 fantasy points, but he has also scored as low as 7.0 fantasy points. He comes with an extremely low price tag, though, and there isn’t a ton of value on this slate. He’s a player that can be used in tournaments tonight.
Jason’s Rapid Reaction: I recommended Caris LeVert over on Outside the Box.
Jusuf Nurkic – There are always foul concerns with Nurkic, but he has been able to control them for the most part since joining the Blazers. He has been locked into big minutes, and he displayed his elite upside against the Sixers a couple games ago. He gets a great matchup against a fast paced Suns team tonight, and Nurkic is still cheap enough to be used in all leagues tonight.
Jason’s Rapid Reaction: Jusuf Nurkic makes for a solid option in tournaments tonight.
Clint Capela – Capela is another center that is a bit underpriced, as he has scored at least 25 fantasy points in seven of his last eight games. He’s also averaging 17.2 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 1.0 assist per game over the last 10 days. He hasn’t been locked into big minutes, but he hasn’t needed them to hit value. He gets a tough matchup against the Cavs tonight, but Capela is still cheap enough to be used.
Jason’s Rapid Reaction: Clint Capela has been playing well of recent.
