NBA DFS Daily Bounce Pass 11.28 November 28, 2016  |  Jon Kelly

Mondays are without a doubt the worst when it comes to days of the week. That being said, if we’re talking about NBA DFS, Mondays may be my favorite. We have what should be a fun seven game NBA DFS slate tonight. The Sixers, Kings and Hawks are all on the second leg of a back-to-back so keep that in mind for tonight.

NBA DFS MUST PLAYS:

Russell Westbrook $12,500 DK $12,200 FD

Whenever Westbrook is on the slate you almost have to play him regardless of whether he is on a back to back or has a tough matchup. Tonight, Westbrook has neither of those things and has continued to show that he has the highest floor in all of NBA DFS. He has scored below 60 DraftKings points just one time in his last 10 games and has gone for over 70 three times in that span. If you fade Westbrook then you are basically just hoping he “only” gets 50.

Stephen Curry $9,300 DK $9,400 FD

One very important aspect of NBA DFS is actually watching the games. No, not just to sweat your teams but to actually watch the games to look at rotations and defensive schemes etc. I am guilty of watching way too many NBA games (while League Pass is working) but there is a method to my madness. When something I see with my eyes while watching a game is backed up with data, I feel very confident about that situation. Playing Point Guards against Dennis Schroder is one of those things. Seriously, go watch the Hawks play and you can witness his laziness and carefree defense for yourself! Anyway, this bodes well for Chef Curry tonight. He surpassed the 50 DraftKings mark just once in his first six games. Since then, he has gone over 50 points on DK five times in his last nine games. The Warriors have the highest team total of the slate and the Hawks rank 23rd in DVP vs Point Guards.

Hassan Whiteside $8,500 DK $8,500 FD

Remember back when the season started, we talked about always targeting big men playing against Boston? Yep, that story still checks as the Celtics rank in the bottom four in DVP vs Centers. Also, Hassan Whiteside isn’t just your normal big man. He is putting up incredible numbers this season. Due to foul trouble and a blowout, his production has been down over his last few games but this is the perfect get right spot for him against the Celtics. If i’m rolling with one lineup, he is the only place I’m looking tonight at the Center position.

VALUE PLAYS:

DeMarre Carroll $4,200 DK $4,200 FD

Carroll remains underpriced across the industry so we should continue to target him until his price is adjusted. His minutes are up over his last three games and so are his shot attempts. He gets a great home spot against the Sixers who rank in the bottom three in DVP vs Small Forwards. He has also attempted 19 3-pointers over his last three games giving him considerable upside especially over on DraftKings with the bonus.

Andre Roberson $4,100 DK $3,800 FD

Not to long ago, I had a conversation with a good buddy of mine about how Jerami Grant is more talented than Roberson. We can’t be too sure of who was right yet but the conversation ended with me saying “I will never roster Andre Roberson.” It looks like that I’ll be eating those words as Roberson is in such a great spot tonight against the Knicks who struggle to defend wings. The Thunder have the second highest team total of the slate and Roberson has seen an increase in minutes over his last few games making him a solid bargain tonight.

Ersan Ilyasova $4,600 DK $4,600 FD

Ilyasova should serve as a nice value on this seven game slate. He is averaging over 16 points and eight rebounds over his last three games and continues to be a key part of the Sixers offense. His price is starting to creep up but he still has some upside especially on DK with the 3-point bonus.

TOP TOURNAMENT PLAYS:

Marc Gasol $6,700 DK $6,000 FD

If you’re not paying up for Whiteside then there are two mid priced options that I really like tonight – one of them being Marc Gasol. Gasol’s minutes and fantasy points are both up over his last three games and he has a great matchup tonight against the Hornets who rank in the bottom eight in DVP vs Centers. Gasol is often under-owned as well because he plays for the boring Grizzlies. He is exceptionally cheap over on FanDuel so I would suggest getting your exposure over there.

Derrick Rose $6,000 DK $6,100 FD

Going back to the eye test from earlier, it would appear that Derrick Rose is not quite back to the MVP Derrick Rose but he is showing some flashes. He is coming off a monster game against the Hornets and has returned 6X value or more three times in his last five games. He draws a favorable matchup tonight against Westbrook and the Thunder who rank in the bottom three in DVP vs Point Guards.

Al Horford $6,600 DK $7,500 FD

Here is the other mid priced Center that I like if you’re not paying for Whiteside. Horford has been low key crushing since returning from the concussion last week. He has been below 40 fantasy points just once since his return. Tonight, he draws a good matchup against Hassan Whiteside who should dominate on offense but be exposed defensively. Marc Gasol nearly dropped a 50 burger on him and this has been a repeating theme throughout this season as the Heat rank in the bottom four in DVP vs Centers.

That’s all I got for tonight. Best of luck everybody and remember to #TrustTheProcess.

Quis’ Bracket Breakdown

South Region Final Four pick: Virginia Cavaliers I typically run for the hills when talking about taking Virginia in the March timeframe. While their defensive efficiency is amazing, the “grind-it-out” style they play does not set up well for March. You are going to run into a hot-shooting team and need ...
