The NBA Playoffs provide a very unique way for fantasy enthusiasts to test their fantasy basketball skills through postseason leagues. In this type of fantasy game, not only do you have to select players most likely to churn out stellar performances, but you have to predict which teams will advance in order to give your player more opportunities to contribute to your total score. So which strategy is most effective in this scenario, picking a star player like Monta Ellis from the Bucks who will likely get eliminated in the fist round, or selecting a role player from a team that has championship aspirations, like possibly Thabo Sefolosha or Kevin Martin from the Thunder? We will answer those questions, amongst other things in our NBA Playoffs Fantasy Cheat Sheet. Here is what you can expect:

– Rosters will consist of 2 Guards, 2 Forwards, 1 Forward/Center, and 2 Flex Positions
– You will choose your players within a salary cap (just like daily fantasy basketball), and the salary cap is pretty competitive this year, so you may not be able to stack your team. You will be locked into those players for the entire duration of the playoffs without being able to trade, switch, or restructure after the playoffs begin on April 20. Once a players team is eliminated, that players total fantasy points is locked, and you do not get to replace him as the playoffs continue, so choose wisely between which teams will make a deep run!
– Scoring will be as follows: Pt = 1, Reb = 1, Ast = 1, Stl = 2, Blk = 2, TO = -1
– Payouts for the freeroll will be administered via PayPal with $65 for 1st place, $25 for 2nd place, $10 for 3rd place.
