Bull Down? Bull Up? Derrick Rose says: “I’m going to be all right”

posted by Scott

As we all know, Derrick Rose suffered a torn ACL in the Eastern Conference Playoffs last season. In his first public statementsince, he says, “I’m going to be all right” and Bulls fans tend to agree with him. Most Bulls fans are optimistic about the return of Rose next season. This should give them even more reason to be. Rose had surgery on May 12th and was slapped with an 8 to 12-month timetable for his recovery.

While March seems like the best bet for him to return next season, fans have to remember they may not see the MVP of old right away, they might have to wait until the following season, or he may never bounce back to what he once was. However, we do know one thing, Derrick Rose will be fully committed to returning to the court at the level that he left it and there isn’t much more you can ask for from a star athlete in a situation like this.

The Bulls will head into next season with Kirk Hinrich back manning his old point guard position while they wait for Rose’s return. The Bulls did manage to go 18-9 in Rose’s absence last season, giving the team and its fans hope that they can successfully hold down the fort until their star returns.
