Stephen Jackson, Spurs – Captain Jack is just starting to get his sea legs down in Texas and has played well over the last week. Last time out he had 12 points, 3 boards, 4 assists, 5 steals and 2 blocks. Although he isn’t getting enough run to have huge scoring nights, Jackson can contribute across the board and has the defenseless Suns on the docket on Wednesday night. Look to him for a well-rounded contribution.
Jan Vesely, Wizards – The Wizards have won four in a row (no, you read that right) and they play a bad team on Wednesday in the Cavaliers. In his last game versus a similarly putrid squad, the Bobcats, Vesely was perfect from the field on his way to 16 points, 6 boards and 4 steals. He won’t hit threes or contribute many assists, but if Vesely is able to build off of his breakout game on Wednesday night, you’ll want him in your lineup.
Richard Hamilton, Bulls – This hasn’t been the year that many had anticipated for Rip in Chicago but he still might be able to redeem himself. Over the last week, Hamilton has averaged nearly 16 points, 3 assists and 2 threes per game while shooting well from the field and the line. The Bulls have a game to clinch home-advantage in the East on Wednesday so expect the veteran to be motivated and playing well.
Nick Collison, Thunder – The Thunder play the second of a back-to-back set on Wednesday night to close out the season and will probably look to give their starters some rest. Enter Collison. He’s not going to max out in a lot of categories, but Collison can rebound, block shots, and shoot a high percentage from the field. If he gets some run tonight, he could be a serviceable fill-in.
Boris Diaw, Spurs – In a start at center in his last game, Diaw put up a vintage Boris line with 6 points, 7 boards, 6 assists and a steal. He is playing against one of his former teams on Wednesday and might have a little extra motivation for the contest. Diaw is one of the most frustrating fantasy players ever but when he’s good, he’s worth the start.
