Sharks
Russell Westbrook (35+ FPTS) SHARK OF THE NIGHT – Russell has been quiet lately. The storyline should be different tonight as the Thunder will look to exploit Rondo’s suspension. He’s going to be up against the likes of Bradley, Moore and Dooling, all of which, are gonna be too easy for him. Westbrook is set for a big night tonight as he’s gonna have the easiest assignment that he’s probably had all season long.
Isaiah Thomas (20+ FPTS) VALUE SHARK – Still cheap in most sites, Thomas will be our Value Shark again tonight. He’s been getting there and is on the rise. Jeremy Lin anyone? Thomas can play the PG position very well, he can shoot, pass, and he’s very fast. Even if the matchup isn’t the best against Wall tonight, he’s just too cheap too pass on.
Kevin Love (42+ FPTS) – It’s all about love this game against the Jazz frontcourt. With Pekovic out tonight, I think Love has to step it up big time at home to get a W. With Brad Miller starting at C tonight, Love has to carry more weight on his shoulders than ever. Love may not have the easiest matchup, but when push comes to shove, you gotta get your team in the game. On a side note, the Wolves are also gonna have to play Randolph tonight, which I’m personally excited for!
Marcin Gortat (31+ FPTS) – Gortat has been textbook this season. He looks like a remake of a Tim Duncan with a different set of weapons. Their stats look very identical though. Gortat has always flourished against easier frontcourts and tonight shouldn’t be different against the Warriors. Udoh might be there, but until he gets more experience and actual playing time, I’m fading him completely. I’m looking for Marcin to put up a very standard line tonight with whipped cream and a cherry on top.
Dwight Howard (41+ FPTS) – I think everyone, as long as salary permits, would love to have Howard in their lineups tonight. Forget about the trade rumors and playing alongside Deron Williams, but his matchup is just easy against Shelden Williams, Brook Lopez, and Petro tonight. Howard should have an easy game with very decent numbers. How far his FPT value goes, is how hard he plays defense.
SharkBait
Monta Ellis (33> FPTS) – Monta has been stellar lately against teams who don’t play defense. The Suns on the other hand, have a way of getting these Sg/SF’s to play harder with Grant Hill defending them. Hill might not be as fast as Monta but definitely smarter defensively. I think the Warriors have to look at their other weapons tonight as it’s not gonna be easy for Monta.
Demarcus Cousins (33> FPTS) & Javale Mcgee (30> FPTS) – Cousins had an awful night Tuesday. He got outplayed bad by Chris Bosh. Tonight should be a little different because Mcgee definitely won’t out play him, but I’m expecting Mcgee to play solid hard nose defense on Cousins. I’m also expecting it to happen the other way around. Who gets in foul trouble first? We don’t know, but it’s not the best risk to take. Every time these guys are on the floor together, they cancel each other out hard. I’ll wait for an easier matchup for Cousins & Mcgee because they tend to put up a mediocre lines against solid post players.
Kevin Durant (43> FPTS) – KD has been nothing short of great this season. His mediocre lines are in the 30′s, and on great nights he goes for 50 to 60. I’m looking at tonight as the former. We have Paul Pierce on him tonight, maybe an unfair comparison of players, but on the defensive end I think Pierce can matchup to him. The Thunder are going to exploit other matchups that they have because of a banged up Celtics squad, and if I’m not mistaken, I don’t think the Celtics will last very long.
Dirk Nowitzki (33> FPTS) – Dirk has dropped bombs in his recent outings. These games were however, against Boston, New York and Philly. I highly doubt if we see vintage Dirk tonight. I think Pau has played Dirk long enough to know how to defend the guy. As we’ve seen Dirk’s price sky rocket in the last 3 games, I can’t see how he’s gonna be worth it. I’m looking for the points to come from a lot of places as well for the Mavs, and I’m not seeing a very high total as well. I’m sitting him out.

Grant Hill defending Monta? i dont think so. Jared Dudley.
and as far as you’re SHARK OF THE NIGHT, all Bradley can do i play D. He gets minutes because of effort on defense and is known for being a bitch and actually trying to whole game.
